An All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain in Abia State, Chief Chidiebere J. Okoh, has fired back at Chief David Ogba Onuoha, popularly known as Bourdex, accusing him of chasing cheap relevance by repeatedly dragging the name of Senator Orji Uzor Kalu into political mudslinging.
Speaking in a sharp reaction monitored by TVAfrika, Okoh said Senator Orji Uzor Kalu remains one of the most experienced and impactful political figures from Abia North, whose record in governance and representation cannot be erased by what he described as “loud but empty rhetoric.” He slammed claims that Abia North has been stagnant for decades as false, insisting that Kalu’s time in the Senate has delivered visible federal presence and meaningful interventions across the zone.
Okoh warned Bourdex to stop “measuring himself against political heavyweights” and instead test his popularity at the local government level before talking about the Senate. “The Senate is not a playground for political attention-seekers. It is for men with structure, pedigree, and results. Abia North knows its leaders,” Okoh declared.
He further accused Bourdex and his supporters of desperation ahead of 2027, noting that no amount of media noise or manufactured controversy can diminish Senator Kalu’s standing with the people. The APC chieftain urged Abia North voters to remain vigilant and reject what he called arrogance disguised as activism, stressing that leadership is earned through service—not insults.
