For many years, Abia State existed in what can best be described as a state of perpetual bondage, managed, patched, and recycled without genuine healing or transformation. Successive administrations came and went, yet little was visible to the world to reflect good governance, sustainable development, or people-centered leadership. Outside paid publicity and partisan praise, Abia rarely made positive headlines. The past administrations under Orji Uzor Kalu, Theodore Orji, and Okezie Ikpeazu—left Abians with more questions than answers.
